The taste of the world's finest coffee

My favorite part every morning is having a good cup of coffe and I am so happy I just discovered the latest Nespresso Master Origins collection.

Nespresso is taking us around the world with the Master Origin collection: Indonesia, Ethiopia, Colombia, India and Nicaragua. Each of the coffees from around the world has its own distinct taste and aroma.

My favourite coffee of the Nespresso Master Origin collection is the Master Origin Colombia . The coffee cherries are left to ripen much longer, then individually handpicked on the perfect day, but not a day too late. It’s a very risky process, but the brighter, fruitier notes make it very rewarding.

 Flavour profile:  Fruity

Processing technique: A short roast at medium temperatures keeps the deep and delicate aromatics of the late harvest coffee beans from Master Origin Colombia in balance.

But let me also tell you about the other flavours of the Master Origin range:

Master Origin Indonesia

Flavour profile: Rich & Woody

Processing technique: The coffee roasting process they use is a split roast method - with a medium and slightly shorter roast. Split roasting this Sumatra coffee gives a great complexity of aromatic notes in the cup.

Master Origin Ethiopia

Flavour profile: Flowery & Bright

Processing technique:A light and short roast keeps the more delicate notes alive and singing through the wilder, heavier aromatics of this Ethiopian coffee.

Master Origin India

Flavour profile: Intense & Spicy

Processing technique:They split roast this coffee with a medium and a slightly shorter roast. This coffee roasting process on this Arabica Robusta blend keeps the distinct Arabica and Robusta characteristics alive.

Master Origin Nicaragua

Flavour profile: Sweet & Harmonious

Processing technique: Split roasting Master Origin Nicaragua with a medium and a slightly shorter roast keeps these Nicaraguan coffees in balance.

Each of the Master Origin coffees can be enjoyed as an espresso (40ml) or as a lungo (110ml) and they are already a permanent addition to the Nespresso coffee range available from Nespresso Boutiques & online on https://www.nespresso.com/ch/en/master-origin-coffees.

The newest addition to the Master Origin family is Costa Rica. Farmers selectively handpicked this coffee in Costa Rica’s Central Highlands. Imagine some of the country’s richest scenery and then, in one of the oldest communities in Costa Rica, Orosi’s mineral hot spring. Arabica coffee beans are soaked in this rainforest hot spring waters. The Hot Springs Technique is patented by one of the local farmers – you won’t find it anywhere else. The scarcity of this Limited Edition comes from this rare process which highlights the malty sweet cereal character of this coffee.
